Sulfur kills fungi on contact and insects if they either eat or touch it. Sulfur destroys an insect’s normal energy-producing bodily function. It is available in many forms: dust, wettable powder, paste, or liquid.

Sulfur kills mildew and prevents its spores from germinating, which prevents the infection from spreading. The first time you run a sulfur burner, turn it on overnight and let it run for 12 hours. Run it again every few days for a couple of hours until the infection clears.

Undiluted lime sulfur is corrosive to skin and eyes and can cause serious injury like blindness.

Lime sulfur bathes are recommended in a 1:16 dilution or 8 oz per gallon of water. Dips are recommended to be done every 5-7 days until a week after lesions have cleared up. All the while the pet is being treated with an oral anti-fungal such as Fluconazole, Terbinafine or Itraconazole, daily.
