The US is one of the global regions of Netflix that has never seen Harry Potter in any form stream. That’s largely because, in the US, Warner Brothers doesn’t currently have direct control over the franchise. Instead, NBCUniversal bought the rights to both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts back in 2016.

While you can’t stream all eight Harry Potter movies with your Amazon Prime Video membership, you can still watch them through the service. They’re available to rent or purchase. You will need a Prime account to stream them once you’ve paid for the movies. Well, as long as Amazon Prime Video is available.

Well, you’ll be surprised to learn that the Harry Potter movies aren’t on any streaming service right now. They can be downloaded for single viewings or rented on iTunes, Vudu, YouTube, and other on-demand sites, but they’re not on widely-used streamers like Netflix or Hulu.

If you’re a Harry Potter fan and you live in the US, you’re going to have a good October. Streaming service Peacock TV is offering all eight Harry Potter movies for free all month – you’ll have to watch them with ads, but that’s a pretty good deal if you’re in the mood for a marathon.

The ‘Harry Potter’ movies are not on Disney Plus and most likely won’t be in the future. Basically, Disney does not own the Harry Potter movies so they cannot have them on their streaming platform.

Disney (DIS), which currently owns the rights to the Potter movies, will relinquish rights in the summer of 2018, allowing NBCU the flexibility to air both original versions of the films and 3D editions, as well as separate shorter features affiliated with the franchise.

All of the Harry Potter movies are available on Netflix, but only in Spain, Portugal, and Poland. So unless you’re located in one of those countries, you’ll need a VPN to watch them.
