Setting Up an IIS Website

1. Step 1: Install LAMP Stack.
2. Step 2: Create Snipe-IT Database on MySQL.
3. Step 3: Install Composer – PHP Manager.
4. Step 4: Install Snipe-IT Asset Management.
5. Step 5: Configure Snipe-IT Asset Management.
6. Step 6: Snipe-IT Web Installation.

Navigate to the root directory of your web server. Use git to clone the latest Snipe-IT repository from the https://github.com/snipe/snipe-it URL and copy the downloaded files to a snipe-it directory.

WAMP

1. Install Composer (composer.exe) Installing composer.
2. Select your version of PHP in WAMP. Select PHP 7+
3. Set up your database. Open your MySQL console:
4. Extract and configure Snipe-IT and run composer. Download and exact Snipe-IT to c:/wamp/www/snipe-it.

The way labels work with Snipe-IT, they get generated with a QR code and/or a UPC-style barcode. The QR code allows you to easily scan the code to open the link to that asset on your mobile device, while the UPC-style barcode is designed to be used in the top search in your Snipe-IT UI.

Snipe-IT’s web application files are located in the public directory that was automatically created when you cloned the project from GitHub. Modify Nginx to use public as this server block’s root directory.
