She’s rescued by Blair, Nate, and Chuck, who try to keep Dan away from the situation. To keep Dan from knowing what she really did, Serena lies that she cheated on him and he tells her that he is done. In the season finale, Much ‘I Do’ About Nothing, Serena tells the whole truth to Dan.

Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) & Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) Serena applied to Yale just because Blair said she’d never get in — rude! But in the real world, probably true. This is TV, though, so of course Serena got in.

Blair grew up being best friends with Serena Van der Woodsen and Nate Archibald. Later down the line, Blair gets into her dream school, Yale University, and graduates. While in college, she briefly dates Chuck Bass but it ends quickly.

Julian and Serena’s meeting gets cut off when Serena receives a text from Gossip Girl announcing that Serena only got into Yale because she allowed the school to run a press release on it.

In The Age of Dissonance, Yale officially rescinds Blair’s early acceptance and gives the spot to Nelly instead. In the season finale The Goodbye Gossip Girl, Chuck Bass suggests that Nelly could be Gossip Girl but Serena van der Woodsen says there is no way that’s possible.

Although NYU is not an Ivy League school, it is often considered on par with the Ivies due to academics, research, and athletic prestige. The selective Ivy League consortium is made up of the University of Pennsylvania, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale.

NYU was not always the high-rated university it is today; it jumped tiers very quickly and with that came rapid expansion and demand for costly additions that were not self-funding, such as facilities to make it have more of a “campus.” While it’s true that adding academic programs means more students paying tuitions.

Ranked seventh in the US this year, Columbia has been a consistent presence near the top of the world rankings over the past decade. It ranks well across all the indicators, narrowly beating NYU in three categories: research impact, learning experience and employability.

While we are talking about the hardest colleges to get into, and also hardest to get the good grades, it would be interesting to mention that one of the hardest colleges to get into in the world is NYU Abu Dhabi, with the acceptance rate of only around 2.1% (which is less than Harvard!).

The last few years the rate of students who apply to colleges increases at a much faster rate than the colleges can add positions. So, the acceptance rate is lower.

It is famous for a variety of reasons. The three main reasons is because of its location, it’s academics, and it’s alumni. For its location, it’s in the heart of New York City and there’s no boundaries between the college and the city. When you’re an NYU student, you’re living like a New Yorker.

The worst thing about NYU is the cost. NYU charges a lot for housing, and it is often cheeper to get an apartement in the city when you are a junior or senior. Also, the administration doesn’t always operate smoothly, and can be sometimes very confusing for students trying to get information or help with financial aid.
