Jim Barone of Hamden had a run of very bad luck starting in 2012. That year, when he was 51, Barone was diagnosed with diabetes. He got an infection in his right foot that wouldn’t heal, leading eventually to the amputation of that leg in 2015.

Rating says ’14+ This should be rated R for sure! You see a woman’s nipple as she gets out of a hot tub in a strippers swimsuit.

The Week Of isn’t a good movie by any conventional standards, but it manages to clear the very low bar Sandler has set for himself. There’s no way audiences would pay to see The Week Of at a theater. Even streaming it might feel like a rip-off.

In association with Happy Madison which takes its name from the films Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, two box office successes starring Sandler himself, both produced by Robert Simonds. The elderly man depicted in the production logo is Sandler’s late father, Stanley, who also says the accompanying audio, “Terrific.”

Sandler was hired as a writer for the sketch comedy show in 1990 and made occasional appearances before becoming a cast member the next year. During his five-year tenure with SNL, Sandler created a range of oddball characters, among them Operaman, an opera star who performed satiric songs in a mock basso profundo.

Happy Madison Productions is an American film and television production company founded in 1999 by Adam Sandler which is best known for its comedy films.
