Now what I have read of the books so far is great and the books will stand on their own without the cards or online puzzles, but the online interaction definitely enhances the books and the whole adventure of it all.

You can get the cards in one of several ways:

1. Signing Up. New users that sign up on The 39 Clues website get six default cards.
2. Card Packs. Another way to get cards is to purchase the Card Packs.
3. Book Packs. There is a packet of six cards sold with each book release.
4. Solving Book Puzzles.
5. The Word Hunt.

In May 2012, Shawn Levy acquired the rights to direct the movie. The movie rights were taken by Universal in August 2013. The film had been slated for release in early 2016, but the film was scrapped and it never entered production.

However, Dan has been collecting the Clues as a “last resort” against the Vespers. However, Amy takes the serum herself in Countdown to save Dan from falling to his death.

The 39 Clues series is currently maintained by Scholastic, with them choosing the next author. The storyline is pre-decided, and each author writes the next part of the plot. For example, Scholastic came up with the outline and Rick Riordan fleshed out the main storyline and wrote the first book, The Maze of Bones.

Arthur Josiah Trent

He is later kidnapped with Ian, Jonah, Hamilton, and the other hostages. In the final battle with the Vespers, Evan is shot in the chest by one of the Vespers and dies a few minutes later.

He is possibly the Ekaterina leader. He makes the most alliances with Amy and Dan. Dan chose him to be killed if they failed their mission in The Dead of Night. In Trust No One, he dies after having a seizure due to his knee injury from a failure of saving Phoenix from a long drop.

Jonah shot Luna Amato three times after she killed Erasmus. He is in shock, for the rest of the book, due to being surprised that he actually shot, and killed someone.

Cahill fire

Ian Kabra is a Lucian operative who, with his sister Natalie, makes up one of the first teams in the Clue Hunt. His family were the leaders of the Lucian Branch. He was fourteen years old in the original Series 1, but is sixteen years-old in Series 2, both times the same age as Amy Cahill.

Cara Pierce (aka April May or Maura Devon Carlisle) is the daughter of J. Rutherford Pierce and Debi Ann Pierce, and is the sister of Galt Pierce. She is an Ekaterina through her mother, Debi Ann Pierce, neé Deborah Starling. She is a major protagonist in Flashpoint and was also key to defeating her father, J.

Vesper One is the leader of the Vespers, and the Vesper with the highest authority in the The Vesper Council of Six. His job is to give directions to the other Vespers and to execute all plans. The most recent Vesper One is Damien Vesper III, a descendant of the original Damien Vesper.

In A King’s Ransom, it is revealed that Arthur may still be alive, and that he is perhaps Vesper 1 (and killed William McIntyre). In the Day of Doom, Dan finds out that his father really had died in the fire and that Isabel Kabra was the one sending him the text messages he thought to be from Arthur.

It’s because Richard Saunders was an alias for Benjamin Franklin when he wrote Poor Richard’s Almanack. Infide… er, inside Grace’s copy of the Almanack is a clue, handwritten by Dan and Amy’s mother: “Follow Franklin, first clue, Maze of Bones” (5.60).
