Stoics give emotions their due. Stoics believe we can still act well despite feeling a “bad emotion.” If you’re extremely rude to your co-workers and, when asked why, you answered, “it’s humid,” people would look at you funny. Stoics would say that being a jerk to people because you’re angry is equally nonsensical.

The Zeno 107 word list will give you, the teacher, the “biggest bang for your buck”. I recommend this list as the main (perhaps the only) list of sight words that you teach until you come to other sight words in your text reading, then you teach those in preparation for reading text.

Stoicism type of philosophy is good if you are going through bad time, midlife crisis or in prison. If you are confined, alone and mentally tortured — stoicism brings mental toughness. It is good for you. But, If you are living in this practical world, then Stoicism doesn’t help on how to deal with our times.

The disadvantages of Stoicism are many. For one, it can build up a crust so that anybody who enjoys luxuries appears to the Stoic to be a wastrel, a spendthrift, or a spoiled brat. So, one disadvantage is being too hard. The Stoic can come to look down upon, or even hate everybody who isn’t Stoic.

Being stoic is being calm and almost without any emotion. When you’re stoic, you don’t show what you’re feeling and you also accept whatever is happening. The noun stoic is a person who’s not very emotional. The adjective stoic describes any person, action, or thing that seems emotionless and almost blank.

The adjective “stoic” or “stoical” has come to refer to any person who shows no emotion. It’s a trait that has recurred in male characters as a recognizable archetype of masculinity.

Batman’s moral code has to be his greatest power because he won’t kill anyone or fight crime in the day.

Is Batman a bad role model for young kids? Absolutely. The entire Batman persona is designed to take advantage of mankind’s primal fears, which is kind of sociopathic. If Batman was an alcoholic and had a particularly bad week, he could easily go from being Gotham’s Dark Knight to being (by far) Gotham’s worst villain.

Bruce Wayne sacrificed his wealth and trained several years to fight injustice. Even the mighty Batman is afraid. He’s afraid of putting his loved ones in risk, not just bats.

The night is protected by one unshakable symbol of justice: the Batman. The Batman, commonly referred to as Bruce Wayne, is a hero who represents the cold pragmatism of justice.

On top of that and more concretely, Bruce studied in Nanda Parbat which trained him to have an eidetic memory as well as other mental training. In other words: He studied a lot, has an eidetic memory, and is naturally gifted.
