Photo metadata is a set of data describing and providing information about rights and administration of an image. It allows information to be transported with an image file, in a way that can be understood by other software and human users.

For example, technical metadata can include attributes about an image, such as its height and width, in pixels, or the type of compression used to store it. Another type, content metadata, can further describe the content of an image, the name of the photographer, and the date and time when a photograph was taken.

The simplest technique is to tag your pictures right when you’re importing them onto your computer. But you can also do it at any time later. Just go to the Manager, select the pictures to which you want to add the given kind of metadata, go to the Menu, and use Information > Batch Edit EXIF (Ctrl+K).

All the information you see in the Details tab is part of the metadata, and you can quickly edit the information by clicking the value field next to the property. However, keep in mind that some data cannot be modified. In Origin, you can edit the Author, Data taken, Date acquired, and Copyright.

Android

How to remove personal data from image files

1. Gather the pics you want to protect in one folder.
2. Select them all, then right-click and select “Properties.”
3. Select the “Details” tab, then click on “Remove Properties and Personal Information.”

Applying a Border to a Picture

1. Click the picture you want to change.
2. Click the Format tab under Picture Tools.
3. Click the Picture Border button.
4. Click a color, or point to Weight, or Dashes, and then select a style, or click More Lines to select multiple options.
