Pantheism, the doctrine that the universe conceived of as a whole is God and, conversely, that there is no God but the combined substance, forces, and laws that are manifested in the existing universe.

The belief that God or gods exist is usually called theism. People who believe in God but not in traditional religions are called deists. People who believe that the definition of “God” should be defined before taking a theological position are ignostic. In some religions there are many gods. This is called polytheism.

There is an array of groups and beliefs that fall under earth religion, such as paganism, which is a polytheistic, nature based religion; animism, which is the worldview that all living entities (plants, animals, and humans) possess a spirit; Wicca, which hold the concept of an earth mother goddess as well as practice …

And yet, despite the manifest differences in how they practise their religions, Jews, Christians and Muslims all worship the same God. For Jews, God was fully revealed in the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament). The God of the Old Testament was both good and evil.

Traditionally, Judaism holds that Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the national god of the Israelites, delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, and gave them the Law of Moses at biblical Mount Sinai as described in the Torah.

There is one God in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. All three are separate, distinct and possessing specific roles while at the same time one God.

Those who practice double belonging claim to be an adherent of two different religions at the same time or incorporate the practices of another religion into their own faith life.

The majority of physicians believe in God (65.2 %), and 51.2 % reported themselves as religious, 24.8 % spiritual, 12.4 % agnostic, and 11.6 % atheist. Most physicians consider themselves religious or spiritual, but the rates of agnosticism and atheism are higher than the general population.

Interfaith marriage, sometimes called a “mixed marriage”, is marriage between spouses professing different religions. In an interfaith marriage, each partner typically adheres to their own religion, but an important point is in what faith the children will be raised.

Brahma is the first god in the Hindu triumvirate, or trimurti. The triumvirate consists of three gods who are responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world. The other two gods are Vishnu and Shiva.

“Thou shalt have no other gods before Me” is one of the Ten Commandments found in the Hebrew Bible at Exodus 20:2 and Deuteronomy 5:6. It is the central tenet of the Abrahamic religions and prohibits the religion’s followers from worshipping gods other than the Lord.
