Dragonborns are like dragons, they have scales and no hair.

A dragon can look like a snake with wings, or like reptiles. A dragon has a tail and a neck. A dragon has a mouth with teeth. Some dragons can be heard about in stories, (e.g) George and the Dragon.

Dragon’s aren’t born with feathers or hair; it’s later developed or usually the result of a magickal act. The hair on dragons has spread wide though as they bread more and more dragons are developing strange features. It’s still rare to see these types of dragon but it’s becoming more common.

However, mostly all Dragonborn have wings, with the exception of some Wingless that are born that lack them.

He disappeared for ages and many thought that he lived eternally. This wasn’t, in fact, true and simply hid away until he was ultimately slain by the last Dragonborn. The Dovahkiin are immune to everything a normal human would be immune to. They’re not immortal, they’re not invulnerable.

The blood of a particular type of dragon runs very strong through some dragonborn clans. These dragonborn often boast scales that more closely match those of their dragon ancestor—bright red, green, blue, or white, lustrous black, or gleaming metallic gold, silver, brass, copper, or bronze.

In Critical Role, Matt Mercer made the presence or lack of tail a social discriminant in the Dragonborn society with, IIRC, the ones without a tail being the lower “caste” of the society, and little more than slaves.

The “or maybe two” earlier just refers to an idea I’d floated a while back in DMH’s thread, that humans and dragons are the only species with the true (elemental) “spark of life” that allows sexual reproduction, and that dragonborn can’t mix with other races because they’re the only race with two different, commingled …

Dragonborn due to their Charisma, usually make better Berserkers who like to wear actual armor (and thus don’t need Dex past 14), and focus their color and breath on a Con based one rather than a Dex based one. My personal favorite is a Silver Dragonborn Berserker Barbarian.

The word “barbarian” originated in ancient Greece, and was initially used to describe all non-Greek-speaking peoples, including Persians, Egyptians, Medes and Phoenicians.

Human (Variant) Variant humans get +1 to two ability scores. This can be used to get +1 to Str and Con, making Human a decent choice for barbarian characters.

Ability Score Increase. Dragonborn gain bonuses to both Strength and Charisma, which makes them more optimal for classes that want high Strength or Charisma scores like Barbarians, Bards, Fighters, Paladins, Sorcerers, and Warlocks.

The simplest answer is: For game balance the designers decided not to give the Dragonborn PC race darkvision. They already have other benefits that can be extremely powerful.

Dragonborn resemble humanoid dragons. They’re covered in scaly hide, but they don’t have tails. They are tall and strongly built, often standing close to 6½ feet in height and weighing 300 pounds or more.

Dragonborn religion is an elaborate form of ancestor worship or animism. In this case, their ancestors. This is not the shamanism that the orcs follow, no far from it. Like Zeus religion, which is another form of ancestor worship, the religion that the Dragonborn brought with them is a religion of ancestor worship.
