It is the sequel to 2000’s Charlie’s Angels and the second installment in the Charlie’s Angels film series, which is a continuation of the story that began with the television series of the same name by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts.

The stars of Charlie’s Angels have been Hollywood icons for decades. The live-action film version of the hit TV series was released on Nov. 3, 2000, and gave us the holy trinity of Drew Barrymore, 45, Cameron Diaz, 48, and Lucy Liu, 51.

Across two television series and three films, there have been 15 leading women who have stepped into the role of Angel. Each with her own unique strengths.

One of the most famous Angels in history is Farrah Fawcett, who played Jill Munroe on the first season of the original television show from 1976 to 1977. “Charlie’s Angels” launched Farrah Fawcett’s career.

Although in most episodes, Charlie was heard, but never seen, he did appear in a couple of episodes, but his face was never shown.

Even in the handful of episodes in which the character of Charlie Townsend appeared on screen, his face was somehow or other hidden, and each time it was a body double. John Forsythe, whose voice was — during the show’s run at least — more famous than his face, never even came to the set.

Yep, in this girl power franchise, Charlie is finally a woman, too. And, at the top of the ladder, there seems to be a new Charlie: Kelly Garrett, an Angel from the original 1970s TV series, played by Jaclyn Smith. The movie doesn’t say this straight up, but it is hinted at during a credits scene.

After watching the five DVD set Charlie’s Angels: The Complete First Season, I feel like an expert on Farrah Fawcett’s nipples. To be sure, all of the funky ’70s costumes are eye-catching, but no sartorial decision is as noticeable as the fact that, as Jill Munroe, Farrah never wears a bra.

After the doctors find them,they announce that Kelly is okay. She seemed to be developing an embolism, but it dissipated. Bosley takes note of a man in scrubs standing behind the doctors. Kelly wakes up and tells her friends that Charlie was at her bedside, but she was too groggy to make out his face.

Pre-teen kids and younger might struggle with the intensity of the movie, but “Charlie’s Angels” is likely suitable for most teenagers. “Charlie’s Angels” is rated PG-13 for action/violence, language and some suggestive material.

Natalie Cook (Cameron Diaz), Dylan Sanders (Drew Barrymore), and Alex Munday (Lucy Liu) are the “Angels”, three talented, tough, attractive women who work as private investigators together for an unseen millionaire named Charlie Townsend (voiced by John Forsythe).

Best remembered for the original trio of Farah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, and Kate Jackson, Charlie’s Angels is still a cult classic today, despite being canceled after only five seasons.
