Can I take an inflated Mickey Balloon on the airplane? Sadly not. You will not be able to get past security with a helium filled balloon. So, save yourself having to part with it completely by having Earport deflate it for you.

A hot air balloon will go as fast as the wind it is flying in. This is why there are restrictions as to when a hot air balloon can fly. If the wind is more than about five miles per hour, the hot air balloon pilot will very likely start to cancel trips. Hot air balloons do not do well in windy conditions.

On an average hot air balloon ride, if you fly perfectly straight for an hour, you’ll travel about five miles. Differences in wind or direction could alter that distance. Expect to travel between one and ten miles.
