No. Do not polish it at all unless you want a semi gloss/satin black paint. The same goes for any other type of flat look be it paint or vinyl. Once you have burnished/polished flat colors it is near impossible to return it back to its original look.

There is no special brush that is required for applying Chalked paint. We recommend a high quality synthetic brush for best results. A high quality foam brush can be used if desired. If applying with a roller, use a high quality small foam roller.

Don’t want a bunch of sags and runs on your car or a sandpaper finish…… Then your going to probably have to leave it for about 6 months to fully cure.

Rustoleum makes a very durable spray paint that comes in a can and that can be sprayed onto a car for a decent finish. If you take your time and are very methodical, you can get good results for a fraction of the cost of a professional paint job.

Clear coat can be applied over most Rustoleum enamel paint. It is recommended to use a Rustoleum clear coat for optimal results since they are also an enamel blend. Water based acrylic clear coats can also go over enamels but is known to turn yellowish over time, especially when applied over light colors.

No fade. (Reds and yellows tend to fade quicker).

Matte black is more of a satin black, with just a touch of gloss. And then you have flat black that has no gloss at all.
