Information about the location will expand at the bottom of the screen. Swipe up on the information at the bottom of the screen. More options will appear. Tap Suggest an edit.

First, you need to download the Google My Maps app from the Google Play Store for Android; unfortunately, Google doesn’t yet make a My Maps app for iOS. To create a new map, tap to expand the tab at the bottom left of the screen. Choose New Map (or Open a Map to find an existing map on your Google Drive to edit).

You can view your My Maps using Google Maps. To make and edit your own custom maps to share online, use My Maps.

1. Sign in and open the Google Maps app .
2. Tap Saved. . At the bottom, tap Maps.
3. Tap the map.

If you can’t find your current location on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and make sure Location Services is turned on and that Maps is set to While Using the App or Widgets. Make sure you set the date, time and time zone correctly on your device. Then open Maps again.

You can select your own map to download, or view maps you’ve already downloaded….

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
2. Tap your profile picture or initial. Offline maps.
3. Select an area.
4. At the top right, tap Edit .
5. Update the area name and tap Save.

Update Google Maps

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store.
2. In the top right, tap Profile .
3. Scroll down to ‘Available Updates’, and search for Google Maps.
4. If Google Maps is listed, tap Update to install.

Reset Privacy and Location Settings

1. Go to the “Settings” menu.
2. Choose “General.
3. Tap “Reset”
4. “Tap Reset Location and Privacy buttons.

To install Google Maps, you need to set up your phone for internet and activate your Apple ID on your phone.

1. Find “App Store” Press App Store.
2. Find Google Maps. Press Search. Press the search field.
3. Install Google Maps. Press GET. Press INSTALL and wait while Google Maps is installed.
4. Return to the home screen.

Google Maps has finally been updated to work with Apple’s CarPlay dashboard mode, which allows users to display their current mapping directions side by side with music controls. The dashboard mode was first introduced with iOS 13 last year, but it was limited to only work with Apple Maps at the time.
