it is my understanding that Optus doesn’t allow for the transition of email addresses to another ISP, eg; Telstra. Optus do not offer dial up or email-only services. If you really want to retain your email address, you must have an active account with Optus. This may be through mobile broadband or a mobile phone plan.

Re: Redirection of optusnet email address to gmail Check SETTINGS > ACCOUNTS and IMPORTS options. You can import all current Optus emails and then also get any new ones automatically as they come.

Outlook Express Setup

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. From the top menu: Go to ‘Tools’, then ‘Accounts’
3. Select ‘Add’, then ‘Mail’
4. Enter your ‘Display Name’ replace ‘John Cititzen’ with your details. – eg. ‘
5. Click: ‘Next’
6. Enter your internet email address. Replace ‘eg.
7. Click ‘Next’
8. Enter your email Server Names:

General process is:

1. Set Up GMail Account.
2. In Gmail Settings set it to import all current emails from Optus.
3. In Gmail Settings set it to import all new emails that go to the optus address (realtime)

Home Internet & nbn

1. Open the My Optus app.
2. Click the menu in the top left corner.
3. Click Forgot your details.
4. Choose Forgot password or Forgot email depending on which details you need to recover. If you’ve forgotten both, start by recovering your email.
5. Follow the prompts to reset your password or recover your email.

login to Optus webmail https://webmail.optusnet.com.au/ Open the email you wish to forward. Click the forward button. Type in the email address you wish to forward to.

This can be done directly in My Account just follow these steps: Login into your My Account > On the dashboard – scroll down > click on your username to expand > Click on Settings (right hand side) > Click Manage next to Optus email account > Add email account > Fill out page (full name, username, password) > press ok.

WELCOME TO OPTUS WEBMAIL. Optus webmail is your free email service and your own [email protected] address you can use on: This online service for webmail has all you need including: Mail, drafts, spam filter (for mail), folders and online storage.

If you’ve exceeded your mailbox size limit, you’ll receive an email to let you know. OptusNet has a mailbox limit of 500MB. To reduce the size of your mailbox, delete any unwanted emails. To access Optus’ webmail, log in with your current username and password. Choose the Settings option from the top menu to enter the temporary password if you received one. You will be able to edit your password when you choose this option. Please type the current password of the User, and you will need to type in a new password.
