A level 4 course is equivalent to the first year of a university degree, meaning that you can gain a higher education qualification without committing to a full 3-year course. Level 4 courses are offered in a wide range of subjects and can be studied at a local college or university, or completely online.

What is a higher Apprenticeship? A higher apprenticeship, also called level 4 or 5 apprenticeships, are the level above advanced (level 3) and intermediate (level 2) apprenticeships. Higher apprentices work for a company, receiving on-the-job training while the study towards a qualification on the side.

The time it takes depends on the level

Level 4 qualifications are: certificate of higher education ( CertHE ) higher apprenticeship. higher national certificate ( HNC )

Level 3 (Advanced) apprenticeships are a wonderful opportunity for school leavers, or even those who finish college, to get your foot in the door. These are excellent if you’re looking for additional qualifications in an industry that you’re interested in.

What level is a Foundation Degree equivalent to? As stated above, a Foundation Degree is a Level 4 and a Level 5 degree. Foundation degrees can take between one years or two years to complete as the length depends on the course itself and on the university or college offering it.

After A Levels or a Level 3 vocational qualification, a young person can do an intermediate apprenticeship [ level 2] an Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) or a Higher/Degree Apprenticeship (Level 4 and above).

A Level 3, or Advanced apprenticeship, is the equivalent of achieving two good A-Level passes. Your apprenticeship will be designed so that you slowly start to gain more responsibility the further through your qualification you go and as you grow more confident with your job.

Your rotation placements will allow you to develop the skills and experience that you’ll require to become an expert in Finance. During this time, you’ll combine on-the-job learning with formal, nationally recognised development training modules at level 3 and then go onto the Level 4 AAT qualification.

After completing the 2-year Apprenticeship Program, high-performing Apprentices will also have the opportunity to join the Global Finance and Business Management Graduate Program. The Graduate Program provides an opportunity to undertake 3 one-year rotations whilst completing their CIMA qualification.

Level 4 apprentices will also gain exemptions from the CIPFA Professional Accountancy Qualification leading to Chartered Public Finance Accountancy (CPFA) status. CIPFA ensures that high-level guidance and support are readily available to both employers and apprentices.

This apprenticeship is for those wanting to develop their skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a Finance career and gain an AAT Advance Diploma in Accounting upon completion of the Level 3 programme.
