Which Ocean is the Cleanest?

In 2018, the United States led the world with the highest number of reported shark attacks, according to the ISAF. Within the continental United States, more shark-human incidents occurred in the Atlantic Ocean—only four attacks were reported in the Pacific (three from Hawaii) compared to 27 in the Atlantic.

The open ocean makes up about 65 percent of ocean water. It is the water away from the coastal waters and contains a wide variety of life. The ocean can be divided into two basic areas: the benthic zone or ocean floor and the pelagic zone or ocean waters.

The abyssal zone is surprisingly made up of many different types of organisms, including microorganisms, crustaceans, molluscan (bivalves, snails, and cephalopods), different classes of fishes, and a number of others that might not have even been discovered yet.

Pelagic fish live in the pelagic zone of ocean or lake waters – being neither close to the bottom nor near the shore – in contrast with demersal fish that do live on or near the bottom, and reef fish that are associated with coral reefs.

Avoid ocean swimming because it is hazardous. As we said earlier in our post, swimming in the ocean is dangerous. Some deep parts of the sea have been explored, and they have shown us shocking creatures. In our picture, it is a creature that was discovered, and it does not appear friendly at all.

However, darkness can make the risks of swimming in the ocean significantly more dangerous. It isn’t safe to swim in the ocean at night. Swimming in the ocean at night can pose a greater risk than swimming during daylight hours, especially for inexperienced swimmers.

This is actually not the color itself that counts, but the contrast with its environment. Does that mean we should stop wearing yellow and orange items underwater? No way. These colors are great for safety.

Sharks are at the top of the food chain in the ocean and must be respected. Many species of shark are known to come closer to shore during dusk, dawn, and night time hours. Do not swim or surf during these high risk time frames. Make sure that the beach you are going to swim at is patrolled by lifeguards.

The chances that something bad will happen to you are pretty slim but don’t take unnecessary risks. You should never swim alone in the ocean at anytime, therefore, you shouldn’t swim alone in the ocean at night.
