Two of the major ingredients in gummy candies are gelatin and carnauba wax. Gelatin is traditionally made from animal fat, specifically pig fat, and Haribo sources its gelatin from a company called GELITA.

#SpoonTip: The longer you let the gummies absorb the alcohol, not only will they become more alcoholic, but they will taste less and less like alcohol. Luckily, the days of boring vodka gummy bears are gone. Do not be fooled by these delicious gummy snacks, although they are yummy, they can absolutely get you drunk.

These taste just like the candies, except with a little of that vodka burn. The vodka really doesn’t do anything to alter the flavor.

Do Skittles have pork gelatin? Until approximately 2010, Skittles contained gelatin, which is not a vegan ingredient. Gelatin is derived from animal collagen, the protein found in connective tissues, and used to give foods a chewy, gel-like texture. Skittles’ manufacturer has since removed gelatin.

They are super easy to make and are the perfect addition to any adult party. These are made with Whipped Cream Flavored Vodka, but you can use any alcohol that you’d like. Place the gummy bears in the glass bowl. Pour the vodka over the gummy bears so that it covers them.

Remove plastic wrap from candies. Separate gummy candies from dish using a spatula or your fingers. Cover candies with a new piece of plastic wrap; refrigerate, 4 to 6 hours. Repeat process of separating candies from dish every 4 to 6 hours and replacing plastic wrap until gummies have soaked for a total of 24 hours.
