E Minor is the Relative Minor of G Major. Essentially what this means is that both E Minor and G Major contain the same scale notes. The only difference is what note of the scale they start on.

The correct answer is: The scale and the chord share specific notes and quality. Explanation: A Chord is the unification of several musical notes in order to create a harmony. A Pentatonic Scale is is a scale of 5 notes (unusual to us, since we usually work with the 7 note scale, which is called Heptatonic Scale).

1. 1st and 4th fingers on the low E string.
2. 1st and 4th fingers on the A string.
3. 1st and 3rd fingers on the D string.
4. 1st and 3rd fingers on the G string.
5. 1st and 3rd fingers on the B string. (Or if you prefer you can use fingers 2 and 4 instead.
6. 1st and 4th fingers on the high E string!

What scale should I learn first? Well the most common scale to learn first is the Minor Pentatonic Scale. That’s the one that I recommend that you start with and it is included in my beginners course. Once you have that one down (and can use it) then you should explore the Major Scale.

Playing by ear is an innate gift. Musicians who can play by ear are accustomed to people assuming they were born with these capabilities.

Shake It Off

The fretboard is extremely comfortable, with a nice neck radius. The action along the entire neck is comfortable and fast without any buzzing. Difficult barre chords are easy to play on this guitar and the overall playability is excellent….

Electric guitars are generally the easiest to play: the strings are usually thinner, the ‘action’ is lower and therefore the strings are easier to press down. The necks are generally narrower too which can help in the early stages.

Taylors are generally known for having a very bright yet rich sound, with more clarity but perhaps less body than a Martin. The company is also praised for guitar-to-guitar consistency and build quality.

The problem is that every Martin I’ve played has been orders of magnitude more difficult to play than the comparable Taylors. The person at the music shop says that it’s because Martin ships their guitars with high action and heavy strings opposed to Taylor who ships them with lower action and lighter strings….

Why is Ed Sheeran’s guitar so small? He just likes them like that. The purpose for the D-size was to sell a guitar that was really loud, with a big booming bass, so it could be played in a band in a noisy hall and still be heard without amplification.

Ed Sheeran is a good guitar player and the music he writes fits the songs he sings. He uses some alternate tuning on some songs that gives his songs an edge. He uses a combination of finger style and strumming and the introduction to many songs is just his guitar playing.
